We see videos where logo(watermark that may be text as well as image) of the production company are there. Have you tried to put your own text/image logo on that  Of course there are different video watermarking softwarea available in the market like video watermark factory, vidlogo, etc. But maximum of those are not free i.e. either shareware or commercial software.
I am here going to tell you the easiest simple way to put custom watermark on any video with some tiny tools which are freely available.

The tools you require are:
1. VirtualDubMod . You can get it here.
2.Image Creation.manipulation Software e.g Paint.Net,MS Paint,etc.
3.A logo filter(optional) e.g Donald Graft's logo filter

So,how to do this. The followings are the steps.

1. For  text watermark:

Create a new image or logo. Use your image software to paint the background black. Now create the text you wish to appear in the watermark, and place it on the black background, making sure that the text colour is white. Once finished creating your watermark image, save it, but make sure that you save it as either a .BMP or a .TGA file.because virtualdubMod supports these two formats only.

  For Image Watermarking

Simply open the image of either .bmp or .tga format.

2.Configure VirualDubMod

Open virtualdubmod. then goto file and then open videofile
      VirtualDubMod>>File>>Open Video File
Select your source video and press the enter key.

    The goto Video>>Filters
Click the Add button, scroll down to the logo option. The click OK.

Press the … button to the right of the Logo image field and select your watermark image.
Tick the
enable per-pixel alpha blending using alpha channel tickbox.
Leave the
Use premultiplied alpha tickbox ticked.
Tick the
use gray channel of secondary image for alpha channel tickbox.
Press the
… button to the right of the Alpha image field and select your watermark image.

Click the
Show Preview button to see preview. Adjust all other settings. like opacity, position of the watermark ,etc,etc....
Once you are done your settings, click OK, and then OK again.

Now you can set up your video with any encoding settings you desire as per normal. Once you have selected your compression settings for both video and audio (if required), Go to
File > Save As, specify your output filename, and click the Save button, or start the frameserver if you’re frameserving to an MPEG encoder.
